Furlo's Gorge

With the establishment of the Furlo”s Gorge State Natural Reserve, the Pesaro and Urbino Province manages 3,600 hectares of Natural Reserve woods, meadows and mountain peaks. It is the third protected area of the province with its 3,600 acres of woods, pastures and mountain peaks.

A real paradise crossed by Candigliano river, which pass through the towering cliffs of the Furlo”s Gorge (Gola del Furlo), where the charm of the landscape combines with flora and fauna in a unique natural scenery. Just think of the golden eagle, the peregrine falcon, the eagle owl, the woodpecker, the crag, the swift and the Chough. There are also wolves, deers and wild boars. The vegetation that covers the mountain peaks consists mainly of oak. An highly recommended place to visit.
